 Hello friends,

Here at Bookclub-in-a-Box, we're gearing up for the fall season! Many of our book clubs went on hiatus over the summer and we're excited to dive into some good times and great reads this month! What will your book club be reading?

New Full Discussion Guide: The White Tiger!

The discussion guide for Aravind Adiga's The White Tiger has been upgraded to a full guide!

In this darkly humorous first novel, Aravind Adiga, the recipient of the 2008 Man-Booker Prize, warns India to be careful. Global technology and the explosion of call-centers have created a slippery path. While some parts of India are growing richer, other parts are sinking equally in the other direction. Adiga explores the viability and strength of India’s future.

Join us as we explore how Adiga uses Balram’s single voice in an imaginary dialogue with a world leader to show the meaning of a true 'entrepreneur,'  Consider with us the extraordinary symbolism of the white tiger, the chandelier, and the number four.  Let us be your guide in viewing the relationship between Balram and his boss juxtaposed with India’s changing caste boundaries to show the shift from old to new India.  Finally, decide for yourself the morality of Balram’s actions and much more!

The discussion guide for The White Tiger is available in both PDF and a printed forms. Membership discounts apply!

Never Let Me Go: What Will the Film Look Like?

When Kazuo Ishiguro’s award-winning novel, Never Let Me Go, was published in 2005, it hit shelves around the world running and has barely stopped since. The film of the same name is about to do the same. It will premiere in this year’s Toronto Film Festival and will open the London Film Festival on October 13th.

We speculate about what the film will look like, how faithful it will be to the original story and more on our brand new Bookclub-in-a-Box blog!

The discussion guide will be on sale until September 19th.The printed guide will cost $12 and the downloadable PDF is only $5. Purchase the novel or the discussion guide here!

Send us your thoughts about either Ishiguro’s novel or the upcoming film and enter a draw to win both the novel Never Let Me Go and the Bookclub-in-a-Box discussion companion! The draw will close on September 19th. To enter, all you have to do is leave a comment or send us an email!
