This six-session course is for the person serious about exploring writing fiction. Our sessions will include discussion, writing exercises, sharing work and comments. You will work on how to craft a short story, how to create an engaging character, and how to use description and setting to fur ther enhance your writing. Like Finding Your Voice, we will seek out inspiration with a club and find the stories you need to tell.
Writing Leader: Sidura Ludwig
Sidura Ludwig is the author of the 2007 novel Holding My Breath. Sidura’s short fiction has appeared in several magazines and anthologies in Canada and the UK, and she is the recipient of the Canadian Author and Bookman Prize for Most Promising Writer. Her non-fiction work has appeared on CBC radio, and in Canadian newspapers and magazines. She has led creative writing workshops in Winnipeg, Toronto, Birmingham and Boston. She is currently working on a new novel.
