The novels discussed in Current Fiction range in subject matter from past to present. They embrace a number of genres and are wonderful to discuss in terms of content, perspective, writing style, etc. It’s always interesting to see how current literature combines imaginative perspective with traditional (and non-traditional) literary style. Sarah's Key is a touching and poignant fictionalized look at the 1942 Paris round-ups and deportations during the Holocaust.
Fiction Leader: Sheli Myers
Sheli is a former high school English teacher and vice-principal. Currently, Sheli consults with Beginning Teachers for the school board, OISE, and The Thinking Consortium.
